June 4, 2013 3:40 PM—En route to Stockholm

So, we missed the ferry yesterday due to getting the time confused and basically every single train we tried to take or took either left late or left without us. Nonetheless, we were able to take the night ferry. Now you may be wondering when the night ferry leaves considering the ferry we were originally supposed to take left at 10 PM. Well, for your information, the night ferry leaves at 2:30 AM. So we sat in the ferry terminal for half the night. Now, why someone would want to leave at that time, I will never really understand. So by around 2 AM we were on the ferry and going to sleep. We were, in fact, the only two people that walked on this ferry without a vehicle. There were many cars and even tractor trailers.

This morning we got up at around 8 and after we showered and packed, we decided to go out and see what was going on. So what was going on? Nothing! Nobody else was awake and you actually can't get anything to eat or drink until 10 AM, which is a little more than an hour before the ferry ports. So needless to say, we were bored, hungry and tired.

As for the conditions on this ferry, I would say it was very similar to the last ferry we took to Croatia. Our room was a little nicer and there was a lot less to do on this one, but otherwise, it was basically the same.

When we arrived in Malmo, we got a free ride to the train station provided by the ferry company. Now we had to sort out our train tickets, because we had reservations for the train that left at 9 AM and it was now after 12. Luckily, we were able to get new reservations for a train that was leaving in less than an hour. All in all, we should be arriving in Stockholm about 4 hours after we had originally anticipated. Not too bad for everything that happened to us yesterday.
